New report on distributed ledger technology in Asia by Hub researchers

Allens Hub researchers Ross Buckley and Anton Didenko have co-authored a report of the Asian Development Bank on regulatory practices and challenges associated with the use of DLT and blockchain in Asia.

Despite high adoption rates in Asia, distributed ledger technology in the region is often shrouded in uncertainty and confusion. What are the differences and links between DLT, blockchain, cryptoassets, and ICOs, and what are the current regulatory practices and challenges related to these new technologies? A new report of the Asian Development Bank ‘Distributed Ledger Technology and Digital Assets – Policy and Regulatory Challenges in Asia’ brings much needed clarity to these issues and offers a new analytical framework to help policymakers review and assess opportunities and challenges associated with DLT and blockchain for the financial services industry. The report is co-authored by a team of experts including Allens Hub researchers Ross Buckley and Anton Didenko.
