Recording of the seventh session in the Challenges for a Cyber-Physical World online seminar series.

This February, the UNSW Allens Hub for Technology, Law and Innovation and the IEEE Society for Social Implications in Technology (Australia Chapter) (IEEE SSIT) presented the seventh session in the Challenges for a Cyber-Physical World online seminar series: ‘Clever Computing through Accountable Design: cybersecurity in smart homes’ with Dr Lachlan Urquhart from the University of Edinburgh.

This talk explored part of Dr Urquhart’s upcoming book ‘Clever Computing through Accountable Design’ (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming), and discussed how to address the problems of realising better cybersecurity in smart homes through research into legal, design and social perspectives.
