Hub secures $495,000 grant which will help enhance Cyber Security research

The research funding aims to drive legal & policy adaptation to new and emerging cyber threats.

Allens Hub Director Lyria Bennett Moses was awarded the $495,000 grant from the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC), for a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship position, including research funding.  The grant will further the Hub’s research leadership in the area of Cyber Security and its contributions to the Commonwealth goals.

Professor Bennett Moses and Associate Professor Shiri Krebs, of Deakin Law School, co-lead the CSCRC Law and Policy Theme, which aims to drive legal and policy adaptation to new and emerging cyber threats.

Through engagement with government and industry stakeholders, and researchers in law and other disciplines, they develop projects focused on the role of individuals and organisations in the Cyber Security Strategy, the role of law in the information ecosystem, and the need for responsible research and innovation across the research sector.

The postdoctoral fellow will be working in the Allens Hub on developing and advancing these critical projects, enhancing collaboration between academia, government and industry, and contributing to solving real-world problems in the cyber security space through close collaboration with Deakin University and the CSCRC partner organisations.
