Hub members collaborate with Jakarta Lab of UN Global Pulse

The Jakarta Lab of UN Global Pulse – an initiative of the UN Secretary-General to foster broader, better use of digital data in development and humanitarian work – recently shared a snapshot of their ongoing collaboration with UNSW researchers in Law and Computer Science on both technical and policy fronts. This collaboration is part of an Australian Research Council-funded project – ‘Data Science in Humanitarianism: Confronting Novel Law and Policy Challenges’ – ongoing since 2018, about which more information is available here. This is led by Hub researcher, (and recent Fulbright Scholarship awardee)  Fleur Johns, together with regular Hub collaborators Wayne Wobcke and Caroline Compton.
